I don’t like to cook.
I don’t like to cook. <<Gasp.>> No really, it’s true. I don’t like to cook elaborate meals with lots of ingredients.
When I say this, most women who know me have a difficult time believing that. After all, on Sundays, I do consider myself a food prep queen. (I promise to share more about food prepping tips soon!)
Sister, I have to keep my food prep and meals simple. SIMPLE = SUCCESS.
A few years ago I started following this container system and learned a LOT about food prepping, tips, and changing habits to get my body down to a healthier weight.
So, when I tell you I don’t like to cook, what I really mean to say is, “I like quick and easy recipes that have good for me ingredients so my body FEELS good!.”
Enter Canned Pumpkin
So I know this time of year is all about the Pumpkin Everything. (That’s just one reason I love Autumn.) However, I limit my sugar intake because I feel icky with lots of that running through my system. And, sister, do you KNOW how much sugar is in that pumpkin pie?
Maybe you already know this little tip I’m about to give you, but I have to share because I just discovered this idea: Crustless “Pumpkin Pie”.
Girl, if you love pumpkin, you gotta try this simple combo!
1 tsp Honey
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
Place the above ingredients in a saucepan or microwave safe bowl. Heat until it’s warm. No baking required! Top with 1/3 cup chopped pecans. Oh, and if you’re feeling a little awesome, toast those pecans in a skillet for a couple of minutes before you top. WOW.
